A Rock and a Hard Place

Well, per my last post, I was leaving Tucson for some California grass. It didn't quite happen as planned. Instead, I hit a huge concrete Slab...yes, a concrete Slab!!
























Well, not literally, c'mon it's me. The Slab I hit was Slab City, CA. It was a super exciting experience! I was, unfortunately, not saved at Salvation Mountain, visited the "library" there, and checked out some live music. I camped out there for a night (under the clear stars) and met some cool people in the morning. I took the best shower so far in my trip there as well. It truly is one of the last completely free places in America. I definitely enjoyed the experience.

Tucson was fun as well. Saguaro National Park, absolutely a must-visit in Tucson. Tons and tons of beautiful cactus. My host (Jen) was unbelievably wonderful too! Interesting and deep conversations that just really made me appreciate the beauty in brief meaningful connections.

I am in San Diego at the moment and yes!, I finally made it to the West Coast.
