Back Home?

Here I am, thousands of miles away from home and I'm staying with people originally from Gaithersburg, MD of all places. I really can't escape that (wonderful) place. I'm extremely glad I made the trek to Alaska. I'm currently still in Anchorage and enjoying it here. I'll probably head to Homer on the weekend. I mean, how can you turn down a place that bills itself as, 'a quaint little drinking town with a fishing problem'?

So far the experiences here have been fun and everything I imagined the great American roadtrip to be (and then some). Not bad for a 'well-to-do tramp' on an adventure that is a little mix of Forrest Gump and Into the Wild. (This is how others described me, mind you) I would be more modest. Maybe something like, 'Zhi, an extraordinary guy on an ordinary journey.'

In Denali Nat'l Park and you can see Mt. McKinley back in the distance (also, if ever in Denali, you must go to 'The Spike', a cool little hidden bar in the park)
