The Chugach

I did the most difficult hike and climb yesterday up the False O'Malley Peak. (By the way, I'm a huge believer in trekking poles now) It's about 4500 feet to the summit and was twice as tough as Flattop was. I could barely keep up with my hiking buddy who was twice my age. Of course, I'm a city boy versus a native Alaskan. The feeling of accomplishment as I was overlooking the scenery below was amazing. I appreciate nature much more now than I have before. Currently, my plan is to stick around till Saturday and then head off towards Montana. The drive back will probably be nuts but loads of fun, I'm sure. I just can't leave until I've fished in Alaska. Hopefully I will be able to post a picture of me and a king salmon. Wait, I mean a king salmon with moi (cause I'm beginning to be such an egomaniac).

Zhi, I read these entries and they're amazing.

Either you have an immense talent for storytelling, or you're living in life stuck on Fantasy mode.

Congratulations on this trip, I hope it is everything you deserve.

Hit me up anytime, sure miss bugging you to come to the club with me.
